Objective

The student will be able to:
- define and describe alternative foundation and soil reinforcement methods
- perform geotechnical calculations of, for example, soil bearing capacity, settlement and soil pressure
- describe how the subsoil behaves during foundation/loading
- identify environmental aspects and consequences of soil and foundation work, and how to prevent them through correct and environmentally sound planning

- Installations, deformation and strength for soil and bedrock
- Geoalkyl for house and infrastructure constructions
- Basic and soil reinforcement as well as underground construction
- Environmental geotechnical constructions

Qualifications

The educational modules Introduction to Building Techniques and Residential and Public Buildings, or similar knowledge
