Objective

The Student:
- can assess, plan, perform, evaluate, document, and report client-centered/person-centered basic nursing care in collaboration with the patient and relatives, demonstrating a reflective and ethical approach to nursing care
- has knowledge of and can make a basic nursing assessment of human basic needs and vital functions, has knowledge of central nursing care methods in basic care, and can apply them in the patient's holistic care
- can assess the patient's nutritional status, plan and perform nutritional therapy
- can perform basic wound care
- can act aseptically and justify their actions
- knows ergonomic work methods and rehabilitative care -
- can perform nursing care planning according to the nursing process and documentation according to the Finnish classification system
- can use functional measurements
- understands the importance of sustainable development in nursing care for the environment, the patient, and caregivers
- masters life-saving first aid

Human basic needs and basic nursing care
Nutrition
Vital functions, measurements, and examinations
Stoma care and catheterization
Asepsis
Ergonomics, kinesthetics, and transfer techniques, aids
Wound care and bandaging
FinCC, ISBAR, RAI assessment, MNA assessment
Cost and environmental awareness in care
Life-saving first aid

The student has a superficial knowledge of the subject.

The student has followed the instructions, and their knowledge of the other students' work is inadequate. The student shows limited substance knowledge, it can be essential.

The student shows insufficient knowledge about the other students' written work. The student followed the instructions for the written work. They have a deficient knowledge of the substance also touching the essential.

The student shows in his answer an in-depth knowledge and maturity beyond the traditional.

Criteria for evaluation of written work individually or in groups
The student has followed the instructions for the written work and shows that she has mastered the substance. They have read the other participants' written work and can ask relevant questions and lead a discussion at the seminar. The written work and the possible opponentship show something out of the ordinary (technical execution, oral presentation, mature reflections, independent working methods).
