Objective

Objectives of the study unit
To provide students with an understanding of research methods and knowledge on how to produce a master’s thesis in the field of international business administration using both qualitative and quantitative research methods guided by principles of research integrity.

Learning objectives:
LO1: be familiar with common quantitative and qualitative data collection and analyses methods and the ethical principles of conducting research
LO2: be able to evaluate the reliability and validity of data sources and analysis
LO3: be able to acknowledge the key elements of a master’s thesis and critically analyze the goodness of the thesis

Content

Content of the study unit:
The subjects covered in the course include 1) Basics of research and research ethical principles, 2) Quantitative data collection and analysis methods, 3) Qualitative data collection and analysis methods. 4) Analysis of previous degree projects at master’s levels. 5) Writing and structuring master’s theses.
