Objective

The aim of the course is to give a thorough understanding of Autonomous shipping and existing IMO LEG conventions application to autonomous vessels, MASS CODEs goal based standards and their application, MASS vessels and use of fairways, COLREGS for MASS, STCW requirements for ROC´s, risk management and insurance for MASS

After completing the course the students:
- Are able to make strategic planning for company management on the aquiring and operation of MASS fleet
- Know how to follow the existing IMO LEG treaties any comply with the regulation under the conventions when operating MASS vessels
- Are aware of MASS CODEs goal based standards and their application
- Understand the regulation concerning MASS vessels and use of fairways, COLREGS for MASS, STCW requirements for ROC´s, risk management and insurance for MASS

Qualifications

Common Advanced Professional Studies 10 ECTS and Degree Specific Advanced Professional Studies 15 ECTS have to be completed
