The education consists of advanced professional studies, elective studies (not in the advanced clinical care profiling) and Master’s thesis. Advanced professional studies consist of profile-specific studies and joint studies. The joint studies (30 credits) for all profiles aim at students creating commitment to professional self-leadership and lifelong learning, and can lead people, work groups and change processes, and apply a scientific, evidence-based, sustainable and ethical approach in their daily work in social and health care. One third of the studies (30 credits) consist of one's own working life-based Master’s thesis. It often acts as a bridge between studies and working life and gives students the opportunity to apply theoretical models to practical issues, the development aspect is emphasized. The Master’s thesis becomes part of the student's personal competence profile and it can consist of internal and / or external commissioned work, collaborative projects or other work-related work.
