• Vessel Drawings
• The structure and load of the hull
• Hull breakdowns and factors that weaken the hull
• Corrosion, corrosion protection and hull maintenance
• Ship stability and stability factors
• Power requirements and methods for calculating drag resistance
• Main and the auxiliary engine types and their characteristics
• International regulations, IMO, SOLAS, MARPOL
• Fire protection, fire detection/isolation and fire construction
• Tanker types and the most important characteristics of different loads
