    The student:
    - knows how to make life cycle analyses for buildings, construction work and renovations as well as entire building projects.
    Prerequisites
    The educational modules Introduction to Building Techniques and the math course Functions and Equations 1, or similar knowledge

    Objects, timing and methods of assessment

    In order to complete the course, it is necessary that all exercises and exams have been passed.
    The course includes parts with mandatory attendance.

    The course exercise and the exam are assessed with a scale of 0-5, based on the learning objectives of the course;
    - Knows terminology related to LCA
    - Can calculate a life cycle analysis for buildings
    - Knows the climate impact of the construction sector and current climate policy, legislation and standards
    - Can identify factors that influence the climate impact of a building and knows how to reduce them
    - Knows the environmental impact of building materials and can assess and compare them
    - Understands their own role as an actor in the construction industry to reduce the sector's climate impact
    - Active participation in lectures and exercises during lectures

    The course grade is calculated based on the individual course exercise and the exam.
