    - is familiar with development models in agriculture and model farms
    - is aware of the challenges of sustainability in a global perspective related to agriculture and climate change
    - is familiar with international agribusiness, food production, trade and quality systems like Global Gap
    - is knowledgeable in international agreements and trade barriers and their effect on agriculture

    Content of the study unit
    Students are introduce to development models in agriculture and model farms, challenges of sustainability in a global perspective related to agriculture and climate change, international agribusiness, food production, trade and quality systems like Global Gap and international agreements and trade barriers and their effect on agriculture.
    The course is based on several of the global sustainbable development goals, in particular responsible consumption and production.

    The course is common for students in the agricultural programme, international exchange students and for students in the Sustainable Coastal Management program.
