Students understand the structure of the income tax system and can explain how the various company forms are taxed for their activities.
Students understand the Business Tax Act and how it affects companies' taxation.
Students understand the importance of year-end and result planning for the company.
Assessment criteria, good (3)
Students can explain the structure of the income tax system and can calculate income tax for different types of company forms. Students can perform simpler income tax returns for companies.
Students can explain about the Business Tax Act and know about the companies' taxable and tax-free income and deductible and non-deductible expenses.
Students can plan and prepare financial statements for different types of companies, taking into account current tax legislation.
Assessment criteria, excellent (5)
Students can explain the structure of the income tax system and calculate income taxes for different types of companies. Students can independently compile the companies' income tax returns.
Students can apply independently the Business Tax Act in calculations regarding companies' taxable results.
Students can independently plan and prepare financial statements for different types of companies, taking into account current tax legislation. Students can take advantage of the different options available and can explain the consequences of tax measures.
