Objective

Objectives of the study unit:
To provide students with the skill to use different digital tools needed in their field of business. The students will demonstrate competency by completing individual projects.

Learning objectives (LOs):
The course is divided into three modules where each module is 2 credits.

Learning objective of module 1: Adobe programs
The student has ability to use Adobe programs to visually communicate information and ideas and create marketing material.

Learning objective of module 2: User Experience Design
The student has the basic knowledge of user experience design when it comes to creating user friendly and good-looking apps and websites. The student can use Adobe programs to create the UX Design.

Learning objective of module 3: Robotic process automation and AI
The student has a basic understanding of the concept of Robotic Process Automation, AI and machine learning. The students can program a process robot in UiPath and understands the possibilities of Robotic Process Automation in their field of business.

Adobe Photohop/Illustrator/InDesign/XD, Robotic Process Automation, UiPath, Artificial Intelligence and machine learning

Material on Moodle and material on LinkedIn Learning (students will get license to LinkedIn Learning)

Teaching methods

The student will look through the LinkedIn Learning video material assigned by the instructor and make notes based on the videos. Practical tasks, that are based on video material are done and presented as a screen recording.

There will be on site classes in computer lab with possibility to join online.

Practical tasks, that are based on video material are done and presented as a screen recording.

Process Automation (2 cr)
2 cr x 27 hours = 54 hours
Contact hours: approx 10 hours
Self study: 44 hours (approx 5 hours per week in 9 weeks)

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)

The student presents and returns a portfolio. The student has a basic understanding of the subject and has done a part of the practical tasks.

Assessment criteria, good (3)

The student has a good portfolio and a good presentation of the portfolio. The student has a good understanding of the subject, and the practical task is well done.

Assessment criteria, excellent (5)

The student has an excellent portfolio and an excellent presentation of the portfolio. The student has an in-depth understanding of the subject, and the practical task has been done with excellence.

Evaluation:
Numerical for PASS from 1 to 5
Assessment criteria
Each module can give the grade 1, 2,3,4 or 5. The final course grade will be an average of the grades achieved in each module. To pass the course the student should get a grade: 1 or more in two of the modules. Tasks handed in after the deadline can give maximum grade 3 in that module.

0 for FAIL: No participation in the contact lessons, no participation in the online lessons, no presentation tasks, no return tasks

The student hands in a presentation video where practical tasks are presented. At least 60% (grade 1) / 70% (grade 2) of the practical tasks are done according to instructions.

The student hands in a good presentation video where practical tasks are presented.
At least 75% of the practical tasks are done according to instructions. The student has looked through all video material assigned by the tutor and handed in notes based on the videos.

Assessment criteria – very good (4)
The student hands in a very good presentation video where practical tasks are presented.
Most of the practical tasks are very well done according to instructions. The student has looked through all video material assigned by the tutor and handed in well-structured notes based on the videos.
Hand-in must be done within two weeks after deadline.

The student hands in an excellent presentation video where practical tasks are presented.
All practical tasks are done with excellence according to instructions. The student has looked through all video material assigned by the tutor and handed in well-structured notes based on the videos.
