    Competence objectives of the study unit
    The student
    - is aware of regional differences in forestry in different parts of Swedish-speaking Finland
    - knows the methods and conditions for the cultivation of broadleaf and mixed forests
    - can identify the most important foreign tree species and their production conditions
    - can provide pruning advice
    - knows how different kinds of forest fertilisation methods can be used to raise or secure growth in a stock
    - can combine the production of timber with the production of wood energy and understands the impact on the balance of nutrition
    - can follow-up forest management work
