    Competence objectives of the study unit
    The student will:
    -obtain knowledge of, and demonstrates skills in, diagnostic testing, common blood tests and specimen collection
    -obtain knowledge of the nurse’s role when supporting the patient in the x-ray-situation
    -obtain knowledge about elimination, and demonstrate skills in helping a client with urinary and fecal problems (ss. catheterization and ostomy care)
    -obtain knowledge about altered nutrition and demonstrate skills in enteral nutrition, -obtain knowledge about subcutaneous and intramuscular injections
    - obtain knowledge about patient safety in different nursing contexts
