Objective

The student:
- can understand and use familiar everyday expressions and very basic phrases aimed at the satisfaction of needs of a concrete type
- can introduce him-/herself and others, as well as ask and answer questions about personal circumstances, such as living arrangements, friends, and possessions
- can interact with others in a simple way, provided that the other person talks slowly and clearly and is prepared to help "

Materials

Online lectures, oral and written exercises and assignments, individual work and work in pairs.

- too much absence from lessons
- the student has unsatisfactory knowledge in the basics of Finnish.

The student has satisfactory knowledge in the basics of Finnish both orally and in writing.

Assessment criteria, good (3-4)

The student knows the basics of Finnish well both orally and in writing.
The student is often able to apply skills learned during the course in simple every day situations.

The student knows the basics of Finnish very well both orally and in writing.
The student knows how to apply skills learned during the course in simple every day situations.

No prior prerequisites
