    Competence objectives of the study unit
    The student:
    - can apply physical assessment into the specific nursing context
    - can identify health problems related to gastrointestinal, endocrine and urinary disorders
    - can use the nursing process as a framework for providing individualized care to patients in the specific nursing context.
    - can explain nursing implications for medication and other treatments prescribed for the specific nursing context
    - can apply insights into altered gastrointestinal end endocrine functions and urinary elimination onto all nursing contexts.
    - knows how to prioritize the patient’s needs for nursing care, act correctly on those, and document them based on the national guidelines and classification system
    - applies critical thinking and decision-making in the specific nursing context
    - applies ethical and cultural aspects in the specific nursing context

    Nursing care of the patient with urinary elimination disorders
    Nursing care of the patient with endocrine disorders
    Risk factors and symptoms of the various types of diabetes
    Nutrition and medication related to diabetes

    Criteria for evaluation of the exam:
    The student has a superficial knowledge of the subject (by heart reading)

    Assessment criteria for assignment:
    The student has followed the instructions and her/his knowledge of the other students' work is inadequate. The student shows limited substance knowledge, it can be essential. The student shows insufficient knowledge about the other students' assignments. The student has followed the instructions for the assignment. She/He have a deficient knowledge of the substance also touching the essential

    Criteria for evaluation of the exam:
    The student can account for the literature, reflect and motivate his/her views

    The student shows in her/his answer an in-depth knowledge and maturity beyond the traditional

    The student has followed the instructions for the assignment and shows that she/he has mastered the substance. She/he have read the other participants' assignments and can ask relevant questions and can lead a discussion at the seminar. The assignment and the possible opponentship show something out of the ordinary (technical execution, oral presentation, mature reflections, independent working methods)
