Objective

• The students are familiar with studying at NOVIA UAS and are prepared to participate in different study settings
• The students become familiar with the degree programme, curriculum and the industry of Beauty and Cosmetics
• The students are familiar with the functions and tools, such as Peppi and Moodle, that supports the study process
• The students reflect on own studies and future plans and are aware of the significance of personal development in relation to life-long learning and the profession
• The students can generate new knowledge and create personal learning environments
• The students can search for and critically view different types of literature and articles within the industry
• The students can work with others in groups and teams
• The students become familiar with sustainability from an ecological, economical and social point of view

Teaching methods

Introduction to academic studies 1c: Lecturers, presentations, virtual test (library/ informationservice).More course information can be found at Moodle.
Group processes and branch familiarity, 2cp: Lectures, workshops, moodboard, research, guidance, discussions, exercises, group processes, teamwork and study visits.

Assessment methods and criteria

Examination consists of submitted assignments and activity.
