The student will:
-obtain knowledge of the fundamental philosophical theories underpinning nursing research
-obtain knowledge of nursing theories that influence nursing research and nursing care
-become familiar with the tradition and development of Caring Science - its history and future
- be able to integrate basic knowledge of ontology, epistemology and the ethos of Caring Science into different modules of clinical caring and nursing.
- define qualitative research
- describe sampling techniques in qualitative research
- understand ethics in nursing research
- discuss the major sources of qualitative data
- explain analysis and interpretation methods with qualitative data
- describe techniques used to evaluate research
- understand how to use qualitative research findings in evidence based nursing care
-prepare to carry out the thesis independently and under supervision
Innehåll
The student will:

The assignment and the possible opponentship show something out of the ordinary (technical execution, oral presentation, mature reflections, independent working methods)
