Objective

The student:
- can conduct literature search and identify relevant literature from quality assured and peer reviewed sources
- knows how to work according to the scientific methods of relevance for the field
- is able to in detail plan a scientific study
- is able to conduct statistical analyses targeting the research questions, and to present research findings
- is familiar with the fundamentals of scientific writing and is able to write scientific texts

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)

50-60% or 60-70% of the maximum number of credits in the assignments earned, respectively.

Assessment criteria, good (3)

70-80% or 80-90% of the maximum number of credits in the assignments earned, respectively.

Assessment criteria, excellent (5)

90-100% of the maximum number of credits in the assignments earned.

Assessment methods and criteria

By completing assignments (literature assignment, methods assignment, research plan for thesis project, idea seminar) during the course. On the basis of the quality of completed assignments.

Assessment criteria, fail (0)

If failed to complete all assignments or if earned <50% of the maximum number of credits earned in the assignments, respectively.

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1-2)

Earned 50-59% (=1) or 60-69% (=2) of the maximum number of credits earned in the assignments, respectively.

Assessment criteria, good (3-4)

Earned 70-79% (=3) or 80-89% (=4) of the maximum number of credits earned in the assignments, respectively

Assessment criteria, excellent (5)

Earned 90-100% (=5) of the maximum number of credits earned in the assignments.
