Objective

• The students are familiar with how a fashion show is executed
• The students have sufficient knowledge about hair, makeup and styling to arrange a fashion show
• The students have the ability to create a look for one or several models
• The students are able to arrange a visually integrated fashion show together and with other cooperated partners
• The students are able to plan, carry out and evaluate a fashion show as a project
• The students can compile a project report
• The students understand the importance of marketing for the project
• The students can apply, analyze and develop an approach that promotes sustainable development

05.09-02.12.2024 Campus Alere. The fashion show can possibly be executed in November.

Teamwork, meetings, workshops, research, mood boards, discussions, narrative method and lectures.

Employer connections

The students and their teams collaborate with working life. For the project to succeed, the sponsors are an inevitable asset. Student search for sponsors.

Exam schedules

Executed project- fashion show, activity and submitted project report. Deadline Autumn 2024 and seminar December 2024.

Grade (0-5) is given for the following parts:
1. Mood board! Teams presents for the group a mood board in specific theme at occasion, 1cr, deadline: week 38, 16th September 2024. Team feedback is given directly during the occasion.
2. Individual project report about the fashion show (planning, realization and assessment), 2cr, deadline at seminar: 2.12.2024.
3. Active participation in the project during in class teaching, through teamwork, own role and individual contribution, 2cr.
4. Mandatory seminar 2.12.2024. Group feedback is given at the seminar.

Instructions for the examinations are given by teachers at the beginning of the course.

Completion alternatives

Approved project work, approved project report and activity. The student´s activity is in a central role to carry out the project.
Feedback is given for the team and / or for the whole group.

The students work 27 hours / cr.
In class: 37 hrs
Self- studies: 98 hrs

Assessment methods and criteria

The course is evaluated based on grades (0-5) for assignments (individual and team) and for activity. The average of the grades for assignments and activity form the final grade in the course.

Assessment criteria, fail (0)

The student has not followed the task's instructions and demonstrate particularly weak knowledge of the subject.
The submitted assignment is incomplete or missing.
The student has not participated and has not contributed to the process of the project work. The student's share in the project cannot be demonstrated or is brief.
The student has not shown greater commitment and has not been active during the course.

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1-2)

The student has partially followed the task's instructions and demonstrate satisfactory knowledge of the subject.
The content of the submitted assignment is satisfactory.
The student has partly participated and have partly contributed in the process of the project work. The student´s share in the project is satisfactory.
The student has participated in the course, but engagement and activity has been low or satisfactory.

Assessment criteria, good (3-4)

The student has almost or has completed the task's instructions and demonstrate good or extremely good knowledge of the subject.
The content of the submitted assignment is good or extremely good.
The student has participated, taken partial responsibility and contributed to the process of the project work. The student´s share in the project is good or extremely good. The student has participated or actively participated in the course and demonstrate commitment to course content and course assignments.

Assessment criteria, excellent (5)

The student has completed the task's instructions and demonstrate excellent knowledge of the subject.
The content of the submitted assignment is excellent and exceptionally well done.
The student has taken responsibility and has contributed to the progress of the project work process. The student's share in the project is clear and excellent. The student has been active throughout the course and demonstrate extra commitment and interest in course content and course assignments.
