Objective

The student:
- knows important principles for managing the use of water resources
- knows the basics of prevention, management and treatment of sewage
- can suggest suitable sewage management solutions in different settings

- small scale wastewater treatment
- regulatory requirements in Finland
- methods for reducing wastewater
- planning and dimensioning of small scale treatment plants
- dry sanitation
- water extraction and quality
