Objective

The student:
- knows the importance of restoring degraded ecosystems
- knows different types of restoration methods and how to choose a suitable method

Content

- objectives of ecosystem restoration
- UN:s the "decade on ecosystem restoration 2021-2030 "
- restoration case studies, e.g. restoration of spawning ground, re-establishing of sea grass meadows, eradication of invasive species, translocation of endangered species, establishing of wetland
- students are introduced to different methods used in restoration and planning of restoration projects
