Objective

The student
- knows the nutritional and energy needs of monogastric animals
- understands the nutritional and energy content of different feed materials
- can plan the feeding of monogastric animals considering feed digestion and make feed states

Content

Basics in animal care with a focus on feeding, feed needs and deficiency symptoms
Interaction between different feed components, feed states and feeding calculations
Feed calculation aids available on the market
The course is based on several of the global sustainability goals, mainly the goals of Responsible consumption and production
