Objective
The student:
- has an understanding of normal aging
- can assess the elderly patient's health, abilities and resources as well as support the person's choices regarding health and well-being
- can as part of an interprofessional team plan, execute, evaluate, document and report on a person-centered/client centered care in collaboration with the patient and relatives and demonstrate a reflective and ethical approach in care
- has expertise in care of the elderly and has knowledge of central geriatric illnesses, care chains and service system
- master evidence-based and sustainable care methods and appropriate medication management
- can perform clinical examinations, functional measurements and treatments
