Objective
The students
- have skills in the clinical laboratory examination process, especially the preanalytical phase (preparations, equipment, the process of examination and the specimen collection)
- are familiar with quality development and management
- realize the importance of good co-operation between the different units in the caring community as a prerequisite for the good quality of laboratory examinations.
- consider security and occupational safety
- be aware of how to make sustainable choices in the preanalytical phase

Basic knowledge about the clinical laboratory work and lab tests (brief history, working process, meaning of lab tests' resultat in patient care, etc)

Approved Practical Exam.
Mandatory participation in Practical Exercises.
The student should be familiar with the most common examinations in clinical chemistry, clinical microbiology, and clinical physiology. The student can prepare and guide the patient before sampling and can observe the patient’s condition after sampling.
