Objective

• The students are able to identify the raw material and active substances in cosmetic products
• The students are familiar with the composition of substances in cosmetic products
• The students are familiar with the function and effect that the substances have in cosmetic products
• The students are able to manufacture basic cosmetic products
• The students understand the importance of and follow a good industrial hygiene
• The students can apply, analyze and develop an approach that promotes sustainable development

Approved course assignments and written exam. Proof of ability to produce cosmetics.

Assessment methods and criteria

The course is evaluated based on grades (0-5) for assignments (individual and / or team) and written exam. The average of the grades for assignments and written exam form the final grade in the course. The manufacturing of products is assessed as pass/fail.

The student has very poor knowledge of the content in cosmetics and the function of different components in cosmetics.
Group or individual assignments are inadequate or missing

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1-2)

The student has weak knowledge of the content in cosmetics and the function of different components in cosmetics.
The content of the group or individual assignments are satisfactory

Assessment criteria, good (3-4)

The student has good knowledge of the content in cosmetics and the function of different components in cosmetics.
