Objective
• The students are familiar with the structure and attributes of tissues to comprehend their importance for well-being
• The students have knowledge about microbes and understands the importance of microbiology within beauty and cosmetics
• The students are familiar with the immune system and function of the lymphocyte
• The students have knowledge about changes in cell and tissue for skin diseases
• The students have knowledge about the basics of cosmetic chemistry
• The students are able to manufacture simple beauty products
• The students can apply, analyze and develop an approach that promotes economical and ecological sustainability within product manufacturing

The course comprises two parts:
Part 1 (2 cr) is held fall 2025 and comprises skin histology, clinical microbiology, immunology and pathology
Part 2 (2 cr) is held spring 2026 and comprises basic chemistry, biochemistry and cosmetic chemistry
