Objective

The student:
- is aware of and understands requirements related to building physics on building structures and entire buildings, and which aspects are particularly important to take into account in construction work.
- understands the characteristics of different forms and sources of energy

Content

The course is part of the building's whole "housing estate". The project work that is part of the course is based on the own house that is planned during the second academic year. The project work can also be done around another building - by agreement with the teacher.

Content:
Types of construction
Moisture (moisture sources, humidity, moisture transport, moisture in materials, to protect the building site from moisture, moisture)
Heat and moisture technical calculations
Indoor climate, Instructions for housing health (temperature, ventilation, humidity, impurities etc.)
Building technical fire protection (active and passive systems)
Energy efficiency
Air pressure and air movement in a building (convection, air pressure and humidity)

Other professional skills that are practiced:
To know the subject area's concepts and terminology
To seek suitable sources to expand their knowledge in the subject area
To write report / review and use report template
To compile an exercise work
To be able to present their work and their calculations
