Objective

The student knows how to calculate displacement and longitudinal/transverse stability with different densities. He/she is able to use Simpson’s rules to calculate surfaces and volumes for irregular bodies.

The student is provided with knowledge of the IMO recommendations concerning ship stability.

The objectives presented in the Convention table A-II/2 column 2 are followed as applicable.
