Objective
Nursing Swedish 2 is an advanced course designed for students with basic knowledge of Swedish. The course is designed to help students develop their language skills within the healthcare context in Swedish. Through reading, assignments, dialogues, and interactive exercises, participants will deepen their knowledge of medical terminology and enhance their communication abilities in various healthcare-related situations.
Upon completion of the course, students are expected to have improved their language skills within the healthcare context and be ready to communicate effectively in Swedish in diverse medical situations.
Content
Medical Terminology: Students will learn and apply advanced medical terminology related to various medical conditions and healthcare methods.
Reading and Text Comprehension: By reading and analysing texts related to medical practice and patient care, students will develop their reading comprehension skills and expand their medical vocabulary.
Dialogues and Role-plays: By participating in dialogues and role-plays, students will practice their oral skills and learn to communicate effectively with patients, colleagues, and healthcare personnel in Swedish.
Interactive Exercises: Through the use of interactive exercises and simulations, students will apply their knowledge in realistic healthcare scenarios and prepare for work in healthcare settings in Swedish

Completion alternatives
The course focuses on applying language skills in realistic healthcare scenarios. Through role-plays, simulations, and practical exercises, students have the opportunity to immediately apply their language skills in various medical contexts.
Oral and written examination tasks are included in the course.
