Highlight the importance of culture and its impact on individuals and society.
Explore how culture can contribute to well-being and meaningfulness, with examples from healthcare.
Discuss the role of culture as a catalyst for social change.
Analyse societal conditions and cultural policies to promote sustainability in the cultural sector.
Present practical experiences from events such as dance parties and festivals with a focus on sustainability and the sharing economy.
Challenge the relationship between capitalism and sustainability in arts and culture and how economic factors affect the sustainability of the sector.
Content
We will explore the power of culture to create well-being and meaningfulness, including examples of its use in healthcare. We will also discuss the role of culture as an engine of societal change and analyse societal conditions and cultural policies to support sustainability in the cultural sector. In addition, we will share practical experiences from events such as dance parties and festivals with a strong sustainability focus and examine how economic factors influence sustainability in arts and culture.
