Objective

The student
• has knowledge of the central concepts and understanding of the mentoring process.
• will gain a deeper understanding of their professional development process.
• becomes familiar with and evaluate various strategies and methods for their own professional development.
• will acquire increased knowledge and understanding of Finnish working life within their profession.
• gains a deeper understanding of the significance of reflection in the development process.

Only for degree students in the degree program in nursing. The student must have completed a minimum of 120 credits and at least one of these practices: Practice: Medical Nursing Care or Practice: Surgical Nursing Care.

Pass: the student has been present at the lectures and actively participated in all discussions and exercises. The student meets the requirements of the course Mentorship in Your Own Profession

Fail: the student has not fulfilled the aim of the course and has not actively participated in the course
