Objective
The student:
- is familiar with concepts and terminology in pharmacology and has knowledge of pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics
- has insights about different groups of drugs; knows indications, interactions and the most common side effects and can observe and evaluate the effect of the drugs
Content
Basic pharmacodynamics and pharmacokinetics, with concepts.
Drug interactions, drug side effects and drug use in the elderly.
Common drug groups such as analgesics, antibiotics, drugs for cardiovascular disease, drugs for diabetes, drugs for gastrointestinal diseases and drugs for mental disorders.
