Objective

The student:
- has knowledge of service systems and legislation within the area of immigration and integration.
- can work with a culture-sensitive and integration promoting approach.
- can promote intercultural encounters and environments.

- immigration, integration, refugee and asylum
- cultural sensitivity and cultural competence
- integration laws
- the integration process
- the service system for asylum seekers and quota refugees

Portfolio Assignment, 3 ect

Portfolio consists of Six Parts;
Part 1: Migration and International Protection
Part 2: International Refugee Work
Part 3: Quota refugees
Part 3: Reception System in Finland
Part 4: Intercultural competence and -communication
Part 5: Integration services

Portfolio can be handed in between 19.1.26- 7.12.26

Assessment methods and criteria

Criteria of Assessment:
Ability to acquire up-to-date information on the subject from current official sources and governing documents. Knowledge of legal rights and obligations of the Immigrant connected to the integration process. Ability to reflect on the concept of cultural competence and ability to apply theoretical framework on multicultural practice. Good ethical and professional approach and attitude.

Individual feedback will be given in Moodle within 3 weeks after the student has handed in the Study Portfolio
