Objective
Knowledge and understanding
- Be able to explain the philosophy and techniques of the Viewpoint method of training theatre practitioners, building an ensemble, and create movements for the stage
- Be able to relate their own stage presence to the principles of voice and body movements in relation to time, space, and the ensemble as a whole
- Be able to summarise the basic principles of voice and movement in space/time as a basis for improvisation in groups, pairs, and individually
Skill and ability
- Be able to use a scenic vocabulary to develop and execute training and rehearsal work, and to create a common foundation for performances through improvisation and composition
- Be able to lead training sessions with children, youths and adults based on the principles of the Viewpoint vocabulary
- Use the method to create performances
- Be able to describe, analyse and reflect on scenic processes
Mindset and evaluation ability
- Have experience of the importance of ensemble work in creating collaborative theatrical works through improvisational processes, and to have developed processes for this
- Have developed the necessary courage for a wide register of expression
- Be able to summarise their learning goals in group discussions

Textwork: Work with the individual voice, exercises alone and in group, lectures, work with classical texts/metrum

The student should after the course be able :
Knowledge and understanding:
-to motivate for the philosophy of the method of Viewpoint and for it`s technique as a training for actors for building an ensemble and creating movements on scene
-to relate the own stage presence to the principes for the voice and the movments of the body in relation to time and space and to an ensemble as a whole
- to summarize the ground principles for voice and movement as a base for improvization in groups, pairs or individually
-to understand a second method for voice work
Skills and abilities
- can with the help of scenic vocabluary develope and implement training and scenic work for children, youngsters and grown ups with the principles of Viewpoint
-can describe, analyse and reflect about scenic processes
- has further developed the own voice
- to work with texts in metrum
Evaluation ability and approach:
-has experience with the meaning of ensemble work for theater work
