Objective
By the end of the course, the student is expected to
• be familiar with the history of photography from 1839 to the beginning of World War 2
• understand the cultural factors behind design, and know how to interpret how the phenomena and values of the time have influenced the design
• know the basics of the development of design and the industrial arts and their history before the beginning of World War 2
Content
The course provides an overview of the history of photography, graphic design and history of design.

The student
- participates in the course according to the mandatory attendance requirements
- completes the assignments and receives a passing grade
- understand the basic contents of the course of studies
