Objective

After completing the course, students must:
- be able to explain what a housing stock company and a property company are, including their legal and organizational structures
- understand the roles and responsibilities of the board and the managing director
- be able to describe the basic factors that affect the operating environment of the industry
- be able to identify and analyze the different phases of the business year and understand how these affect planning and business management
- know how to use the year clock as a tool to plan and follow up the business
- have a good understanding of the role and function of the Association of Property Managers in property management and board work
- be able to lead effective board work
- be able to describe the basic ethical principles that govern the asset management industry and how these affect the daily work
- be able to apply ethical guidelines in the industry, including handling conflicts of interest and transparency in decision-making
- understand the importance of sustainability in real estate management and be able to identify methods for integrating sustainable solutions in the industry
