Objective
The student:
- is able to write and discuss about topics related to his/her own occupational field
- masters the key vocabulary connected to his/her own field of work
- masters branch specific communication situations
- manages to write and present central documents in professional Finnish, is aware of style differences and can use different styles in communication
- can identify the main points in various articles, texts and news related to his/her own professional field
- demonstrates such skills in the Finnish language that are in accordance with the law (424/2003) for personnel in public bodies. This means that the student must show satisfactory (grade 1, 2 or 3) or good (grade 4 or 5) skills in speaking and writing Finnish. Written and oral skills are assessed separately
