Basics of Accounting

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)

Students understand the task of payroll accounting in the company and can link it to the company's main accounting.

Students are familiar with the legislation and regulations that govern payroll administration and understand the impact of collective agreements on how a salary is calculated.

Students can use a payroll program to perform simple salary calculations and know that the reporting has to be done

Assessment criteria, good (3)

Students can perform the task of payroll accounting in the company and transfer the information to the company's main accounting.

Students can explain the legislation and regulations linked to govern payroll administration and the impact of collective agreements on how a salary is calculated.

Students can use a payroll program to perform simple salary calculations and understand the reporting of the payroll

Assessment criteria, excellent (5)

Students can independently perform company´s payroll accounting and transfer the information to the company's main accounting, i.e. general ledger.

Student can independently explain the legislation linked to payroll administration and understands the impact of the collective agreements. Student can independently perform payroll calculations and knows for example how the Holiday Act affects these calculations.

Students can use a payroll software to perform more advanced payroll calculations and can independently manage reporting to all relevant authorities.
