Objective
The Student:
- can plan, implement, evaluate, and document person-centered/client-centered mental health and addiction nursing care
- understand the importance of interprofessional work and have the ability to collaborate with various professional groups
- apply evidence-based knowledge and methods in mental health and substance abuse nursing care
- identify the patient's/client's issues regarding mental health and addiction/dependence
- identify and support the patient's/client's resources
- create an understanding of the patient/client, show respect, and professionally interact with the patient and relatives
- have a reflective and ethical approach and consider the patient's right to self-determination as well as patient- and client safety
- can guide the patient/client in mental health and substance abuse nursing care
- can plan, perform, and evaluate safe medication management
