Objective

The student:
- has an understanding of the service system and the interprofessional cooperation in
maternal health care and can use various sustainable resource enhancing models and methods in health care work.
- can plan, implement and evaluate the follow-up and care of the woman, the fetus and the family, both during pregnancy and puerperium
- recognizes risk pregnancies, complications during pregnancy, childbirth and puerperium and can refer the client for further care
- can guide both individually and in groups on issues related to pregnancy, childbirth,
puerperium, couple relationship and family planning
