Objective
The student
- knows the conditions for wood production in Finland and understands how tree species and different production conditions affect each other
- knows how society manages forestry in terms of constraints and opportunities, including current forest legislation
- knows the most important Finnish peat habitats and their origins
- can identify habitats protected by laws and social agreements and knows the plants (key species) needed for habitat determination
- can in practice perform care and clearance work in the forest on plant and young forest stocks according to given instructions and taking into account occupational safety regulations
- can perform basic service on a clearing saw

50 % of the points in the written exam for a grade on the acceptable level (grade 0 - 5)
Acceptable practical training result according to the responsible teacher
