Learning Goals for the Study Period (Course)
Upon successful completion of this course, students are expected to have a more advanced competence to:

• Use essential tools, techniques, and principles of 3D modelling needed for creating graphics for games.
• Understand the basics of creating, shaping, and detailing 3D objects through hands-on projects in modelling, texturing, and lighting.
• Create textures for games and understand how they are optimised for 3D applications.
• Be familiar with the concept of 3D animation and be able to create 3D animations.
• Understand and apply the concept of LOD (Level of Detail) to improve rendering performance.
• Understand the implications of design choices on performance and energy consumption.
• Understand the direct connection between performance optimisation and energy consumption in 3D applications.
