The Student:
- can plan, implement, evaluate, and document person-centered/client-centered mental health and addiction nursing care
- understands the importance of interprofessional work and can collaborate with various professional groups
- applies evidence-based knowledge and methods in mental health and substance abuse nursing care
- identifies the patient's/client's issues regarding mental health and addiction/dependence
- identifies and supports the patient's/client's resources
- creates an understanding of the patient/client, shows respect, and professionally interacts with the patient and relatives
- has a reflective and ethical approach, considers the patient's right to self-determination, and prioritizes patient and client safety
- can guide the patient/client in mental health and substance abuse nursing care
- can plan, perform, and evaluate safe medication management
- can communicate with patients and colleagues in Swedish or Finnish at Level A1

The Student:
- has achieved the learning objectives for the internship at a satisfactory level
- is open to feedback and demonstrates a willingness to develop professional skills
- follows work schedules and respects agreed-upon times
- ask relevant questions that support the learning process
- generally works in a structured manner and demonstrates basic accuracy during key tasks
- can carry out tasks under supervision
- possesses basic knowledge and actively engages by asking insightful questions
- can follow guidelines and instructions and takes responsibility for assigned tasks
- can make basic decisions related to work assignments
- understands professional values and adheres to ethical principles
- communicates appropriately and respectfully with patients, clients, and customers
- demonstrates the ability to collaborate effectively within a team
- can communicate with patients and colleagues in Swedish or Finnish at the expected level
