Studieperiodens (kursens) lärandemål

The student:
- obtains knowledge of the specific prerequisites related to maternity care and can recognize normal pregnancy, delivery and puerperium
- identifies health problems involving the reproductive system and breasts
- use the nursing process as a framework for providing individualized care for patients with sexual-reproductive dysfunction
- can prioritize the patient's needs for nursing care, act correctly on those, and document them based on the national classification system
- can prepare for guiding the patient in health promotion and prevention of complications
- can identify the risk factors and complications related to STI
- applies insights into altered sexual-reproductive functions to all nursing contexts
- can care for patients with gynecological infections, tumors, bleeding disturbances, early pregnancy complications
- knows and can give advice about family planning and family nursing care
- has awareness of sexual aspects including infertility in the human being
- treats the patient with respect and dignity
- understands different cultural needs and learn to treat the patient, and the family, with dignity

Normal and altered sexual-reproductive functions
Normal pregnancy, birth and postpartum
Gynecology and obstetrics, gynecological disorders
Immediate first aid/care in complications during pregnancy, birth and postpartum and refer patients without delay to maternity care facilities
Reproductive system and breasts
Risk factors and complications related to STI
Gynecological infections, tumors, bleeding disturbances, early pregnancy complications
Family planning
Sexual aspects including infertility in the human being

Criteria for evaluation of the exam:
The student has a superficial knowledge of the subject (by heart reading)

Assessment criteria for assignment:
The student has followed the instructions and her/his knowledge of the other students' work is inadequate. The student shows limited substance knowledge, it can be essential. The student shows insufficient knowledge about the other students' assignments. The student has followed the instructions for the assignment. She/He have a deficient knowledge of the substance also touching the essential

The student shows in her/his answer an in-depth knowledge and maturity beyond the traditional

Criteria for evaluation of assignment individually or in groups:
The student has followed the instructions for the assignment and shows that she/he has mastered the substance. She/he have read the other participants' assignments and can ask relevant questions and can lead a discussion at the seminar. The assignment and the possible opponentship show something out of the ordinary (technical execution, oral presentation, mature reflections, independent working methods)
