Materials
Literature about thesis topic and data, resources within the own research area.
Students follow the thesis writing instructions for Novia UAS.
According to the supervisor´s instructions.
Teaching methods
Self studies with Thesis.
Booked individual guidance meeting with supervisors (Jaana and Johanna).
Guidance in group sessions with Jaana.

Collaboration within the industry is the aim.
Customers, collaboration partners and sponsors.
Exam schedules
Students work individually with their Research Plan. The intermediate seminar will be in Spring 2026, 22nd January.
1. Research Plan. Students present their own plan at research plan seminar 22nd January 2026, deadline for submission of research plan: the week before, January 15th 2026. Individual feedback and grade (Pass/Fail) are given after the seminar.
2. Opposition and Opponent Story. Students have read and critically reviewed appointed student´s research plan and oppose it at the mandatory research plan seminar. Students write an opponent story as essay for the appointed plan, deadline: 22nd January 2026, grade (Pass/Fail) via Moodle. Feedback as group feedback.
Completion alternatives
Finished and approved method and execution, grade (Pass/Fail). The mandatory parts are conducted at Campus Alere.
Feedback is given at intermediate seminar and during individual guidance sessions.

Students work individually with their Thesis. However, the research plan seminar will be in Spring 2024, week 5, 1st February.
1. Research Plan. Students present their own plan at research plan seminar February 1st, 1cr, deadline for submission of research plan: the week before, January 25th 2024. Individual feedback and grade (Pass/Fail) are given after the seminar.
2. Opposition. Students have read the appointed student's work plan and oppose the plan at the research plan seminar, deadline: February 1st 2024. Feedback and grade are included in the opponent story's grade and feedback.
3. Opponent Story. Students write an opponent story for the appointed student's research plan (same as above), 1cr, deadline: February 1st 2024. Feedback and grade (Pass/Fail) are given via Moodle.
