Objective

The student:
- has a realistic understanding of the scope of construction engineering of buildings and construction projects based on basic theoretical knowledge and practical individual own experience of the tasks from a larger engineering office
- knows how to schedule construction engineering tasks and understands its importance with reference to the final outcome and overall economy
- knows how to implement proper work safety on a larger building site
- is able to work independently and take responsibility as a team member in the workplace community
- has the ability to solve problems and find alternative solutions

Content

The student carries out studies at a company in accordance with what has been agreed in an individual agreement for the course Structural Engineering at an Engineering Office. The content of the course is based on the course-specific and individual competences and learning outcomes.

Based on these and from the students' individual career planning, the content and goals for the individual student are tailored in a collaboration between students, supervisors at the company and the supervisor at the university. The individual goals are subscribed to in "Contracts for the structural engineering at an engineering office".

Qualifications

The educational modules Introduction to Building Techniques, The Residential and Public Buildings, Mathematics, Building Mechanics and Internship, or similar knowledge
