Community art



This project talks about the interconnectedness of art and nature. The aim is to investigate ways to create collaboratively, within the group as well as involve outsiders, and permeate ecological thinking into art making. What does creativity, nature and collaborations in relation to well being and ecology?



Reading texts about art and ecology, field trip activities such as collecting sounds from the surroundings, interviewing people, nature walks, exercises that enhance collaborative creation and deep listening, dynamic reflection activities, drawing, painting, making nature masks… and for the last activity a performance in which everyone can be actively participating in the artistic experience.



Learning outcomes:



examine contemporary and indigenous artistic practices influenced by ecosocial thought

open to embodied dialogues between the outside and the student’s inner bodily world.

expand knowledge on collaborative art making, in the process and in the performance.

be capable of sensitive interaction with others at various levels, be able to take on different roles within the project and give constructive group and self-reflection.

Develop awareness of the sounds of the environment and its relation with the own creations
