Objective
Upon completion of the course, the student is expected to be able to:
- Provide examples of practical and theoretical insights into instrumental teaching for beginners.
- Plan, analyse and evaluate the teaching process based on didactic principles.
- Analyse and evaluate the student's learning process with regard to the beginner level.
- Describe and use constructive communication and identify different learning patterns in the pedagogical process.
- Reflect on their musical thinking from a teacher's perspective.
- Analyse the importance of music from a philosophical perspective.
- Discuss their own way of thinking and acting in the pedagogical process.
- Take a stand on the ethical and social dimensions of teaching.
Content
- Instrument teaching with practice students at beginner level through individual and group teaching. 20 x 30 min divided into autumn and spring semesters.
- Analysing and evaluating learning processes with a focus on beginner level.

Basic studies in pedagogy
Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)
Grade 1: The learning outcomes are met but the knowledge and skills are assessed as superficial.
Assessment criteria, good (3)
Grade 3: The learning outcomes are achieved and the knowledge and skills are assessed as good. Students show evidence of being able to problematise and reflect on the course themes.
Assessment criteria, excellent (5)
Grade 5: Learning outcomes are more than well met and skills are assessed as excellent. Students problematise and reflect on the themes of the course.
