Objective

The student:
- Can identify and defend different ways of embodying, staging and framing phenomena of personal interest.
- Understands the concept of artistic research.
- Is familiar with different research methods in the performing arts.
- Is able to initiate and explore an artistic process that integrates stage work and text-based research, with a focus on contemporary artistic research.
- Can identify, collect and evaluate relevant source material for individual degree projects in the field of performing arts.
- Has realized what it means to explore a research question through art.
- Can critically review and reflect on their own research process and understand its relevance and impact on the field of performing arts.
- Develop their personal competence in the field
- Has the ability to independently solve visual, technical and functional tasks
- Are able to independently plan functional units
- Can make decisions and solve problems in a sustainable way
- Has the ability to reflect, analyze and present part A and part B (the degree project)

Seminars 1-3

The course is linked to the degree project and consists of independent assignments in the field of performing arts or performing arts pedagogy, which help students to solve visual, technical and functional challenges. Seminars 1-3 of the course deal with different phases of a creative process and focus on how ideas go from being unclear or unfinished to becoming concrete and feasible. The seminars also involve independent work on the part of the students, where they develop and realize their own ideas.

Assessment criteria, approved/failed

Approved requieres minimum grad 3
The student
- Actively participates in teaching.
- Performs given tasks independently and shows tests on own initiative.
- Returns given assignments on time.
- Masters the content of the study section.
- Acquires information independently.
- Approved plan of examination work part A and part B.
