Objective
The student:
- Can identify and describe different methods of collective creation in performing arts, including improvisation, ensemble work and devising processes.
- Can explain historical movements in performing arts and their impact on collective creation. Analyse how different cultural and societal factors affect theatre productions.
- Master a number of methods related to devising as an exploratory method in performing arts production.
- Can apply techniques for devising, such as brainstorming, creating characters and designing scenes.
- Can analyse and evaluate different dramaturgical choices in collective creative theatre.
Critically review and improve their own and others' work.
- Can lead processes that result in stage material through collective work created by and with the group in question.
- Be able to evaluate ethical and aesthetic aspects of collective creative theatre. Be able to reflect on how theatre can impact society and individuals.
- Show openness, cooperation and respect towards colleagues in a devising process. Adapt to change and be prepared to rethink ideas.
