Teaching methods

10 sessions with workshops, lectures, discussions and assignments. Flipped classroom involving reading / LinkedIn Learning material to be reviewed prior to each session. Visiting guests. Writing a KLN-reflection on the different elements of the course.

The course is available for exchange students. A group of students from Africa will attend 26.9.

Assessment methods and criteria

The written assignments will be graded on a scale 0-5. Participation in the sessions is mandatory.

Supplementation (Re-examination Opportunity)

A student who has not received a passing grade in a module or course is offered at least two (2) opportunities to retake the exam or supplement their performance. Absences from scheduled retake sessions are also considered as retake opportunities.

A student who has not received a passing grade in a module or course, and who has not completed the necessary supplementation within the given time or passed the course based on a retake exam, must retake the entire module or course.

Supplementary submissions must be completed within the following three active study months (flexible solution); 9–12, 1–4.

Late submissions are graded one grade lower (for the individual task).

Grade Improvement Within One Year

A student has the right to attempt to improve the grade for a module or course that has already been passed (grade 1–5) once within 12 months from the date of completion, according to the university of applied sciences' guidelines.

Assessment criteria, fail (0)

The written assignments will be graded on a scale 0-5.

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1-2)

The assignments are incomplete and of a low quality. The student has missed more than three sessions and/or has demonstrated low activity during the sessions.

Assessment criteria, good (3-4)

The quality of the assignments is good and shows that the student has understood the course contents. The students has missed 1-2 sessions but has in general been active during the sessions.

Assessment criteria, excellent (5)

The quality of the assignments is high and the student is able to reflect upon the course contents based on his/her own experiences and connect the different parts with each other. The student has participated actively in all sessions.
